SOTE wrote -  Why isn't the TCPA published or at least linked to on your site?

PCI responded - It is, in our Members-Only section. It can also be easily found
by viewing many of our members' sites, or just going to the FCC site.

SOTE wrote -  Does it contain information that might harm your own reputation?

PCI responded - No. I am not aware of any federal law that would harm a
reputation. Are you sure you have a sense of what you are trying to illicit,
or are you just typing to watch your fingers move?

SOTE wrote -  Just curious.

PCI responded - Just responding.

Like a typical telemarketer, SOTE recontacted us

SOTE wrote - Could you please e-mail me sources showing that "less than 20%
of what the [Gehl Group] collect[s] actually gets to the non-profits they solicit for."

PCI responded - Sure I can.
    Try - http://www.winstonsalem.bbb.org/reports/3.html#3
The figures shown there indicate a 17% rate (I guess we were being
too nice - perhaps we should change the percentage to more accurately
reflect your firm's peculiar view of honesty).

SOTE wrote - I want to know what your basis for this slander is.

PCI responded - If it's true, its not slander.
If your smart, you'll stop digging yourself and your firm into a hole.
Therefore, you will likely keep your shovel busy.

SOTE wrote - As a matter of personal inquiry and on behalf of honorable
telemarketing firms everywhere, why charge citizens to be blocked from
    non-profit telemarketing groups?

PCI responded - Honorable telemarketing firms?  Name one - please.
As for our membership fee, it includes more than just notifying telenuisance
firms of our members' unwillingness to be freely solicited by phone. But to
answer your specific question - it's due in part to the cost of sending out the
notifications. As for non-profit telemarketing groups, they are just as noisome
as other types of junk callers, and commonly fail to divulge the small
percentage of the gross they receive that actually gets to the non-profit
(assuming the non-profit is legitimate, rather than just 'lawful').

SOTE wrote - You're exchanging honest profits for your own...

PCI responded - Honest profits connected to outfits that raise funds for police
and firefighters unions?  You have got to be joking, or sadly (and more likely)
    you're serious.

SOTE wrote -  i can't understand your hypocrisy.

PCI responded - Evidently, you don't understand the industry you attempt
to defend. Now sonny, just stop while you're behind. Unless you want our
communications posted on Private Citizen's "Stupid Telemarketers" site.
I suggest you get a real job. Good luck.

But SOTE just couldn't leave it alone

SOTE wrote - A real job?  Oh like yours...
oh and you misused the word "your."  it should be "you're."
But then, I'm just typing to watch my fingers move.
Oh yeah, and it would be an honor to be posted.

Thus we have ... to honor SOTE in the manner he so richly deserves

PCI responded - Gee whiz, you got us on a typo.
But you failed to mention that your arguments are
an imbecilic embarrassment to yourself and Gehl.
