The Private Citizen "Do-Not-Call" Directory is sent to over 1,500 telemarketing firms across America on behalf of our members.

The Private Citizen Directory

The Directory is sent to over 1,000 local & national telemarketing firms and list compilers. The Directory's structure gives telemarketers what they need to avoid calling you, while it prevents them from using that information as a solicitation list.

Here's how the Directory is laid out.

It Contains Description

Section 1 Your Notification & Offer

The declaration you adopt when you join Private Citizen, expressing your unwillingness to be freely called, and establishing your do-not-call request pursuant to federal law (The TCPA )

Section 2 Your Name and Location
An alphabetical listing of our members' Last / Firm name - First name - State - City - Zip. Your address is not included. This prevents recipient firms from using the Directory as a junk mail list.

Section 3 Your Phone Number
A listing, in numerical order, of our members' telephone numbers

A Private Citizen Directory recipient will know the names, locations and phone numbers of those to avoid calling; but will not know which phone numbers belong to which members. Thus, Private Citizen members with unlisted phones will maintain the privacy of that number. Also, the Directory's structure prevents its use as a telemarketing or junk mailing list.
